2009 Volunteer Expo
The Volunteer Expo 2009 was a resounding success. Some of the highlights included:
- A range of marketing material was used, including newspaper, radio, website, online 'What's On' sites, and social media (Facebook and Twitter).
- Our key sponsor was the St George & Sutherland Shire Leader. Other sponsors included Hurstville Council, Design Stunt, OZVPM and Access Finance Direct.
- 55 community organisations set up stalls and over 600 visitors attended the event.
- Several workshops were conducted, which were well attended by 85 managers of volunteer programs.
- Lively interctive entertainment had many volunteers and staff participating in various activities, with Bollywood Dancing being the most popular!
- A wonderful team of committed, talented volunteers helped to prepare, organise and coordinate the event!
